We have partnered with the artisans at Manos Preciosas here in Antigua, Guatemala to create custom cosmetic bags made from real Guatemalan Huipil. A Huipil is a traditional garment worn by indigenous women and features an embroidered pattern unique to the region, town or village from which it originated. Each pattern is geographically specific and hand-woven with cultural significance. Huipiles are still widely worn by Maya throughout Guatemala.

Each of these beautiful bags is completely unique and features repurposed Huipil from the Coban region on one side and a transparent window on the other. While no two Huipiles are the same, the ones that we have sourced for this special collection are predominantly blue in color… because, you know, Seashine.
